“Our Friends Photo Blog” is an ongoing documentary-style photojournalism, portrait, and contemporary fine-art online “coffee table book.” It provides visual stories and historical records of people, family, friends, events, and unique places around the region and elsewhere. Moreover, it is a celebration of life interpreted through art and photography. Much time and effort goes into making photographs and posting the images. It begins with making the actual pictures and then the post production work of toning and color correcting each photograph.
It’s my passion. After having worked as a photojournalist for various newspapers and other organizations for more than 30 years, I decided to continue to make “slice of life” photographs directly for the people I meet and photograph rather than a newspaper publication.
Although I keep the costs of the images relatively low, to give access to those who want an exhibition grade print or professionally toned digital file, it is photography and art sales that generates the income required to do what I do. I gratefully appreciate everyone’s support.
